I use a laptop on a daily basis and this is for research regarding school work, one weekends after work i also use the laptops to watch movies on the weekends. I also use my iPhone everyday, i actually use this the most, this is more for communication with everyone that i stay in contact with. i have an Ipad although i never even use it. In Singapore I am very dependent on technology.
ReplyDeleteI use my iPhone and my Macbook for the majority of the time. I use my iPhone to visit social media websites before and after school, as well as checking my emails. I use my Macbook for watching tv shows and movies. Most of my school work that is not done on paper is usually done on the Macbook as well. I use it for logging into MyStamford, checking school e-mails, completing assessments and assignments, and conducting research.
ReplyDeleteMy tech ecosystem is very big, but unlike what the article says, I rely more on my phone and computer over my ipad. In terms of apps, I mostly use facebook messenger, imessage, and a little bit of whatsapp. In most cases, for web browsing, I use my computer. For reading ebooks, I use my ipad. For just a bit of everything, like web browsing, music, facebook, etc, I use my iphone.
ReplyDeleteI think an inclusive institution is a group/organization that was created by those who want to recognize and affect something, while an exclusive institution is a group created by an outsider trying to fix or change something that he is not a part of.
My ecosystem consists of just my iphone and my macbook pro. I mainly use my Iphone for keeping up with my social life like texting my friends and seeing what they are up too. Also I always have my phone on me so on my daily commute from to and from school, I use it as my music player and my gaming device.
ReplyDeleteI dont know much about extractive and inclusive institutions, but I know that a institution can be somewhere that was created for a educational, professional or religious purpose
I have a phone and 2 laptops. My phone is mainly use for chatting, going on social media and not so much for calling. One of my laptop only for entertainment purposes (youtube, games, music) and the other one is for work/school purposes only.
ReplyDeletei think a tech ecosystem is a range of technologies and devices that are interconnected together and share information with each other and work well together. my tech ecosystem mainly consists of my iphone and mac which connect and share information very wellbecause they are both apple products and they can connect to the same "cloud".i use my phone daily to connect with others and as well to keep up with whats happening in the world while i mainly use my laptop to do my work which includes researching and typing things
ReplyDeleteThe device that i use the most is my iphone which I use to talk to other people, for my social media and to read some of the school emails before school. I also use my school laptop a lot but I use it more for school things like homework or taking notes in most of my classes or to watch movies or series during the weekend or in my free time. I think that I depend a lot on those devices and on technology in general.
ReplyDeleteDuring the day I use a laptop and a iphone. The application that I use on my laptop are google drive, gmail, chrome and word. I use these mainly for school purpose. During the weekend I use it as well but I watch videos on it as well. I have an iphone I use the iphone on a daily bases I use it to talk to my friends and my family. I also use to tell my mom that I am at school and I am safe. I have no clue what an inclusive institutions and a extractive institutions are.
ReplyDeleteI only carry one iphone around. I usually use it to contact people, check email and playing games. I maybe buy something in Taobao. I have a ipod too, but what i can do in ipod i can do it in iphone. the most important is i dont want a smaller screen than my iphone.
ReplyDeleteI have a Taobao account for looking something and put some crowded fundation in Taobao. i dont like to go out and shopping. so I better shopping online, just look at phone and pay it online. i dont need to go out. even vegetables and rices.

ReplyDeleteI have an IPhone , and I use it for social media, uber, to make calls and also to text.
inclusive institutions are based on principles of universality, non-discrimination, or targeted action.Exclusive institutions are when a ruling party takes over the economic and political environment
I use my phone everyday for reading book, listening to music and play some games. However, it is not help me to do my homework, so in the weekdays I use my laptop much more than I use my phone. Laptop is more useful than iPhone that what I think.
ReplyDeleteI'm using my phone the most. But now I'm using it much less than I used to. Because of IBDP and also because I don't have wifi at home yet. I'm living alone, so I don't have much time to go on Facebook or watch a lot of YouTube videos and etc. (have to do all these house duties) But still, i use my phone everyday, usually I use WhatsApp to contact with my parents, Gmail to check if I have any mail, Vk (like a Russian Facebook) , 1010! it's a game that I love to play, I like it because you need to use logic there and there are no missions. I prefer real books to ebooks. I look at the screen for so long at school and I don't want my eyes to die.
ReplyDeleteInnovations are really important for the economic growth, you have to be updated to make sure that your business is successful and etc.
I just read the book 'Why Nations Fail ',this book impact me and i have some words want to say. This book is about the how Nations changed in the world and success or failed .Ecosystem for me i think ,it includes wide variety of spices, in my opinion, economics today is not alone,it connects with Military and political in every country and i also think that Consumers are driving all purchases; the consumerisation of technology, The world is driven by networks,This in turn makes exponential growth the norm
ReplyDeleteCosts are strictly aligning to revenue, and everything is moving to a unit economics basis.
Institution i think is a organization ,for example,WTO is an institution.
I use my phone everyday, I check the massage on it, check updates about the news, and play some games. I have two laptops, one of them is for school homework and check the school e-mail; the other one is my own laptop, I also use it to play games, sometimes I watch movies on it.
ReplyDeleteI use my iPhone and the school MacBook very often in my daily life, phone used more than the laptop. I believe that in our world today, people can not leave their technological devices. I use my phone for social apps, contact to my family and friends, watch videos using youtube and play games. I used laptop mostly for school works, checking emails and research information. Sometimes watch videos as well.
ReplyDeleteI like to use my iPad before, not the mini one, but not anymore. I found it is hard to carry around because I more like small and light things.
During the day I use a laptop and a iphone. The application that I use on my laptop are google drive, gmail, chrome and word. I use these mainly for school purpose. During the weekend I use it as well but I watch videos on it as well. I have an iphone I use the iphone on a daily bases I use it to talk to my friends and my family. ReplyDeleteMy personal technology ecosystem includes:
ReplyDelete1 personal Macbook (not in use during school year)
1 school Macbook (used only during school year)
1 iPhone (for browsing the interwebs and music)
As I progress, the use of phones and computers are limited, instead more productive apps, methods and paper are used instead.
Inclusive institutions are institutions that include the public in it's function, it's decision making or in the process of governing. Exclusive institutions are when those in power do not include the public in it's function, ruling or governing, instead use it to exploit and manipulate others.
I personally use my phone, and my laptop the most. However, I use both of these electronic devices for two completely different reasons. I use my phone for social media and keeping in touch with my friends and family, and I use my computer for school work and research for different assignments or projects. I think it's really ironic how the two items that I use most frequently are for two different aspects of my life. I think that inclusive institutions encourage entrepreneurship whilst the extractive institutions encourage clientism and is dependent on patrons.
ReplyDeleteI have begun to use my phone more and more for the majority of my work. I use my phone to write emails, send messages to friends, family, and faculty, and browse the internet as well. I try to stay connected to the internet as much as possible. At home, I have an aging MacBook Air which is slowly dying on me, which is a large part of why I use my phone to keep connected. I've tried to stay off all social media on my school laptop so as to minimize distractions when I'm working. I read real books because e-books are bad. Government in democratic countries tend to be more inclusive rather than extractive than say dictatorships, or regal government. Private companies are also quite extractive, whereas public institutions will be inclusive. The more socialist a nation, the more inclusive they are in terms of business and government, and vice versa.
ReplyDelete“extractive” institutions in which a “small” group of individuals do their best to exploit the rest of the population, and “inclusive” institutions in which “many” people are included in the process of governing.
In regards to the various technologies that I use daily, I have a desktop pc, two laptops, and an iPhone. Out of these, I use my desktop the most, because out of both my laptops and my phone it can play games extremely well. Also, my monitor is quite large so it's easier to watch movies and just browse in general. I also use it for homework because the keyboard is more comfortable to use and my large screen helps me use multiple windows at once. In regards to my laptops, I only use my windows computer because it can run more programs then my school laptop, as well as it has none of the limitations that my school laptop has. I don't usually use my phone, as I only use it for communicating and web browsing whilst I'm on the mrt.
ReplyDeleteI have no real idea as to what an inclusive and extractive institution is.
I use my laptop all day long, for completing tasks , write google drive documents and to chart down notes. The usage of laptop has increased as i'm doing the IBDP . I do use my iphone for listening to music , watching some entertaining videos and going through my social networking sites. But i do make it a point that i don"t use my smartphone fro more than 10-15 mins. The rest of the day i spend time finishing my tasks either on my laptop or books . I think that Innovations are really important for the economic growth.
ReplyDeletePersonal Tech Ecosystem
ReplyDelete1. I have an iPhone, which I use very often, to check all of my social media, keep up with the latest news, get calls, video call my long distance friends and book Uber rides. I don’t think I would be able to have a complete social life if I didn’t have a phone at all.
2. I have a personal laptop (aside from the school one) that I use very often to help me with the assignments that I work on at home and also to watch all of my Youtube videos, movies and listen to music. The iTunes on that laptop is synced to my phone, so I have tons of offline music on there too.
3. I have 2 iPads, but I rarely use them, since holding them feels awkward since it/s so big and hard to catch in just one hand. Because of this, only my grandmother, and sometimes my parents use them.
I don't really have a good idea of what inclusive and extractive institution is
I use my i phone and macbook air everyday. I use my macbook air to do home works and to check my email. I also use my i phone to play games, watch videos, and to contact friends. I don't get what inclusive and extractive institutions are.
ReplyDeleteThe device I use the most is my phone. Institutions are of two types they can be inclusive or extractive. Inclusive institutions create certain incentives necessary to produce the creativity and entrepreneurship in a country Extractive economic institutions do not provide these incentives
ReplyDeleteThe device in which I use the most is my iphone, and laptop. I use my phone to talk to people, and use very few application. The application I do use are a mix of social media, transportation, and news. I use these applications on a daily basis in order to keep in touch with family and friends aboard, see what people have posted on social media, and chat with friends. The second device I use is my laptop, I use it daily as well, to check emails, do school work, and at times watch movies and shows in my free time. I am unsure what institutions and extractive institutions are
ReplyDeletethe only real devices I use are my iPhone and my school laptop, I use my iPhone for all social media and I use my laptop for school related things as well as watching movies once in a while. I find that once we hand our computers after school ends in July it is strange to get used to not having the laptop at home for my use. This shows how attached I get to my devices.
ReplyDeleteThe device I use the most is probably my home computer. Not my school computer, but my home computer. I'm not a great fan of the school computer since it reminds me of work. On my home computer I do a few things such as downloading series, musics, being on social media... The other device I use the most is probably my smartphone. I use it mainly for communication and social medias.
ReplyDeleteI do not know what inclusive and extractive institutions are.
I occasionally use my phone when I do not have other devices around me at the moment, I find the screen too small and uncomfortable to be used for web-surfing. I refuse to get a phone with a bigger screen because it defeats the purpose of its portability and makes it quite a burden to carry around.I rarely use social media and phone apps which is the main reason my phone goes unused quite often. I use my iPad quite frequently because it's light and portable and easy to use as an extension of my laptop which I mainly use in school. I also have a "kindle-like" device from china that stores my ebooks, but I prefer a hardcopy that I can mark in.
ReplyDeleteI think that inclusive institutions are organizations that includes things everyone can get access to, and extractive institutions are organizations that are a small group of people who aim to exploit the rest.
I do carry around and use the laptop that school provided everyday in most of the subjects, I also use iphone but not in terms of social media and texting people, I use my phone mostly for listening to music and occasionally play games. When I got back home, I always use my personal laptop in my free time, viewing social media, homework, check e-mails or maybe watch some movies
